Extension Officers Training (ToT) for Our Small-Holder Farmers Project: Sustainable food systems start with small-holder farmers. This strong team of 5 ladies and 5 gentlemen ready to make an impact are on a critical mission to empowering small-holder tilapia farmers with knowledge and skills to make them experts in their fields.
Our extension officers have just completed their first practical training at the Aquaculture Academy. The training covered all the best aquaculture practices (BAPs) with a focus on both technical and business aspects of aquaculture. Thanks to Lattice Aquaculture’s academy for the satisfying training.
The extension officers are now even better equipped to empower small-holder tilapia farmers at the project’s field schools. Each of them will be assigned 30 farmers to guide over the 3-year period with a target of increasing their productivity by up to 50%.
